At a distance of 108 Kms from Coimbatore, 67 Kms from Pollachi & 600 Kms from Chennai, Annamalai (or Indira Gandhi) Wildlife Sanctuary is located at an altitude of 1,400 meters within the Western Ghats.

Unfold throughout 958 Sq. Kms, it’s bordered with Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, Eravikulam Nationwide Park and Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. This park is dwelling for types of fauna like elephant, gaur, tiger, panther, sloth-bear, deer, wild bear, wild canine, porcupine, flying squirrel, jackal, pangolin, civet cat and birds like rocket-tailed drongo, red-whiskered bulbul, black headed oriole, and so on.
