Srinivas was born at Ambasamudiram, Tamil Nadu, India on seventh November 1959. His family moved to Thiruvananthapuram the place he was raised. He found Carnatic music from his aunt Padma Narayanan. After his schoolings, He moved to Bombay to pursue his graduation throughout the fields of B.Tech Chemical Engineering on the Bombay College, Bombay (Presently Mumbai). After his graduation, He labored as a promoting and advertising and marketing expert for ten years. He then surrender his job to pursue his career as a singer.

Initially, He approached Ilayaraja throughout the 12 months 1988 nevertheless points didn’t go properly as he had factors in his throat. Inside the 12 months 1992, he joined A.R.Rahman the place his dream started to return again true.
