B. Valarmathi was born on 20 October 1957 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. She is the member of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam political party (AIADMK), led by Jayalalithaa. She was the member of 14th Tamil Nadu Legislative Meeting from Thousand Lights constituency. It was constituted after the victory of AIADMK Get together and allies, within the 2011 state meeting election. Late Chief J. Jayalalitha grew to become the 16th Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu as a result of election.
