Matrix 4 is a science fiction action movie written by Lana Wachowski and Aleksandar Hemon. The fourth Matrix movie stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprising their roles as Neo and Trinity, respectively. Directed by David Mitchell, the highly anticipated sequel was bankrolled by Wachowski and Grant Hill. The Matrix franchise is owned by Warner Bros., which distributed all the films along with Village Roadshow Pictures.
The franchise created by Wachowskis follows a group of heroes who fight a desperate war against machine overlords that have enslaved humanity in a sophisticated virtual reality system. The series began in 1999 with the film The Matrix and continued till 2003 with two sequels, The Matrix Reloaded & The Matrix Revolutions.
