At a distance of 1.5 kms from Kanyakumari Bus Station & 1.5 km from Kanyakumari Railway Station (located on Vivekananda Rock), Thiruvalluvar Statue is devoted to the best Tamil poet, thinker and saint – Thiruvalluvar.
The pedestal of the statue is of 38 toes top and the statue over it’s 95 toes tall with a grand complete of 133 toes for your entire sculpture. The three tier pedestal often called Atharapeedam is surrounded by a creative Mandapa with 38 toes top. To assist the vacationers to worship the holy toes of Thiruvalluvar 140 steps are constructed contained in the Mandapa.
The view from this level is sort of breathtaking! It’s a very entertaining and enlightening piece of labor and evokes one to guide a really principled and ethical life.
Visting Hours are eight AM To four PM. The ticket fare is 20/- for boat switch.
Vivekananda Memorial can also be situated on the adjoining island.
