At a distance of 0.5 Km from Mahabalipuram Bus Station (on Mada Koil Avenue), Krishna’s Butter Ball is a big boulder close to the Ganesha Ratha. It rests precariously on a slender rock base. Legend has it that a number of Pallava Kings tried to maneuver it, however all of the kings and their elephants couldn’t shift the boulder even by an inch.
