At a distance of 20 Kms from Chennai Central Railway Station (close to Injambakkam, on Mahabalipuram Street), The Cholamandal Artists Village established in 1964 is an establishment of effective arts and crafts. Established by college students of the Madras School of Arts and Crafts, it has come to be acknowledged as a major faculty of arts and crafts. It’s a heaven for artwork lovers and artists.
Artists stay as a group and pooled collectively their expertise and assets. Developed in an space of eight acres, it has a everlasting artwork gallery to carry exhibitions. Sculptures product of granite, wooden, copper and bronze are created throughout the Artists Village.
