Meenakshi was born on 6 August 1988, She first appeared in two Telugu ventures, the historic fiction Hanumanthu, and the devotional film Sri Satyanarayana Swamy. In 2009, she appeared in tamil movie TN 07 AL 4777, which was the remake of the Hindi film Taxi No. 9211.
