Appukutty Early Life and Career

Appukutty was born on 22 August 1984 in Nathankinaru, Thootukudi, Tamilnadu. Sivabalan family and education details will be updated soon. In the year 1994, he moved to Chennai in search for a job to survive. He joined as a cleaner in a hotel, and was noticed by a film personality who gave an acting chance from him. He started his acting career in the year 1998 with the movie “Marumalarchi,” along with Mammootty and Devayani. Then Sivabalan got a recognition with the movie “Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu,” directed by Suseenthiran. Later, he acted in minor roles for 17 years.

Appukutty also acted in Suseenthiran‘s comedy movie “Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai,” in the lead role along with Saranya Mohan. For his perfromance in that movie, Appukutty won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and the movie was named as a Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment of 2011. In the same year, he also starred in an important role in the movie “Kullanari Koottam,” with Vishnu Vishal, Parotta Suri and more. Moreover, he also played a character role in Mohanlal’s 300th film “Snehaveedu.” In the following years, Appukutty starred in various movies like Sundarapandian, Thiruthani, Isaac Newton S/O Philipose, Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal, Maryan, Summa Nachunu Irukku and more. In 2018, he starred in the movies like Koottali, Kaathiruppor Pattiyal, Enga Kaattula Mazhai and Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2.
