Anu is a fan of Actor Arya and she saw his advertisement to send bridal applications. She got interested in and sent an application. Among all the applications, 16 applications were shortlisted and they began the marriage reality show in the brand new Colors Tamil Channel. Anu is one among the 16 contestants who were shortlisted.
